(Peru)

The Rum produced in Peru has very unique and unique characteristics, in fact it is a distilled that is grown and produced at vertiginous heights, so it takes the aroma and particular taste from Peruvian lands. The Cartavio Solera is certainly the most famous rum produced in Peru, the raw material with which it is processed is molasses, very sweet that of the Peruvian lands. Aging is 12 years, despite the sweet and flavored taste that makes it very pleasant has an alcohol content of 40% vol. Its origins date back to theRon Cartavio Company, property founded in 1929. The Solera has a dark amber color, on the nose with a light scent of caramel, spices, bananas and walnuts. Thisrum is aged in Slovenian oak barrels, Sherry and Bourbon. The production method is based on theSolera technique that comes from the ancient traditions of the Jerez region, where the most delicious distillates are made. Sugar cane production of this Rum is grown in the renowned "city of eternal spring", Trujillo, located in the Chicama valley. The city of Cartavio is located in an area with a desert ecosystem and low rainfall, an ideal climate for the growth and development of sugar cane. Drip irrigation uses only water from the Andes, a type of water rich in minerals and nutrients. This type of controlled irrigation is the real difference, because the lack of water increases the sucrose rate, bringing it up to three times higher than that of theCaribbean rod. In this way the barrel of thePeru becomes the richest in the world. ThisPeruvian rum has received numerous awards in recent years and has won international awards, now it is considered one of thebest rums in the world.

Soil and climate
The climate picture of Peru is very complex. Dryness characterizes the coastal edge, while the eastern Andean side is humid. In Lima the average temperature is 18 ° C (in February 25 ° C and in August 15 ° C); rainfall (20 mm per year) is irrelevant. In the Andean section, the band above 4800-5000 m has average temperatures below zero (-5 ° C); between 4800 and 3800 m, the averages do not deviate from 4-8 ° C and the rainfall ranges from 150 to over 600 mm. The temperate bands on the slopes have average temperatures from 10 ° to 15 ° C. The lukewarm strips, called yungas ("valleys"), below 2800 m, have average temperatures above 16 ° C and, on the Amazonian humid flank, rainfall above 1000 mm per year. The rain forest at E, below 500 m, has constant conditions, with temperatures above 23 ° C and rainfall above 1500 mm.
History
The territory of today's Peru includes the greatest part of the cultural area in which, during almost three millennia, the major civilizations of South America developed, the last of which was the very large Inca Empire faced and defeated by the Spanish conquistadors in 1532 -36. Among the most characteristic aspects of the ancient Peruvian civilizations include the great works of terracing and canalization for intensive agriculture, monumental architecture, the vast network of streets, the fabrics of extraordinary quality, the refined creations in polychrome ceramic, the art of metals (copper, gold, silver and bronze) and the oracular centers, destination of pilgrimages. The first traces of human population date back to 15,000 BC. approximately, and concern groups of nomadic hunter-gatherers. Starting from 5000 a.C. the slow process of domestication of the plants began, which gradually led to the emergence of agricultural settlements along the coast and in the valleys, while in the mountainous area the domestication of the lama and the guinea pig took place. At the end of the preceramic phase (2000 BC) there were already stable centers where large mounds and ceremonial complexes were erected (El Praiso, Aspero, La Galgada). Simultaneously with the appearance of ceramics (1800-900 BC) the cultural model that dominated the P. during the Ancient Horizon (900-200 BC) was affirmed, characterized by irrigation works, important religious complexes and a plastic art, called of Chavín. With the Ancient Intermediate Period (200 BC - 500 AD), the appearance of metals, large hydraulic works and the establishment of regional styles are recorded. On the coasts, from N to S, the Moche cultures developed (among which a rich ceramic production belongs), Lima and Nazca. At the same time, the civilization of Recuay and Tiwanaku arose on the southern plateau. In this period the use of bronze appeared and fortified cities were built.
Typical dishes
Peruvian cuisine, considered as one of the most privileged in the world, has inherited its ingenuity, its mingling and its flavor. The fusion of its cuisine is due to the cultural exchange over time, in which Spanish, African, Chinese, Japanese and Italian immigration stand out. The variety of his dishes was born as the mixed breed increased or while the migrants arrived at the port of Callao. The unmatched heart anticucht, the tacu-tacu and the carapulcra, dishes that would have African origins. The nutritious pasta came with Italian migrants whose adaptations led to homemade dishes such as green or red cutters. The ceviche, tip dish, comes from the fusion with the Japanese cuisine. Finally, the novoandine stream sports the native products served on white tablecloth, thus redeeming the national flavor with which we feel totally identified.
