The Dominican Republic is among the Caribbean islands, the place where the best rum are available on the market, one example is the renowned Brugal, of which the factory can also be visited. In addition to Brugal, the Dominican lands also give birth to the Ron Barcelo and the Bermudez, from which distilleries can be visited. In these lands the Rum is an integral part of the culture and especially of the life of the country. The Brugal has a special place in the heart of the local population (and not only), in fact it is the most consumed among the Dominicans and is the symbol of an ancient tradition. The distillery was founded in 1888 by Don Andrés Brugal Monater, and boasts nearly a century and a half of prestige and high quality production. Year after year this brand has seen its distillation capabilities multiply, improving quality through aging, but keeping tradition, becoming a product exported all over the world. The molasses produced in the Dominican Republic is of excellent quality, the distillation process makes it one of the most famous and internationally-known rum. Among the most requested rums produced in the Dominican Republic there are the Rum Selection Especial "Gold Seal", Rum Agricultural Añejo Superior "Monte Cristo", the Dominican rum Papà Andrés and the Rum Extra Viejo reserva familiar.
