Climate	Cool nights, this microclimate ensures excellent balance between ripeness and brisk acidity. Altitude: 230-300 m.a.s.l.
Soil composition	Calcareous gravel and porphyry, sand with parts of clay.
Yield per hectare	50 Hl
Harvest	Beginning - mid-October.
Vinification	After gentle pressing, the must is fermented at controlled temperatures in oak barrels.
Ageing	Malolactic fermentation occurs in small French barriques and the wine is then racked to larger oak barrels for further aging. Bottled after 14 months, Urban Lagrein is stored in bottles for another year prior to commercial release.
