Tempa di Zoe Aglianico Zero 2019
Zero was created in 1997, the product of a two-hectare Aglianico vineyard in Acqua di Costanza, in the municipality of Torchiara. This part of the Alto Cilento shows the influence of the Tyrrhenian and the very sunny climate. The wine is made beginning with partially dried grapes, with spontaneous fermentation, and is aged in wood.

Colour

Deep ruby.

Bouquet

Plum and blackberry supported by alcohol on the nose, black pepper and cocoa to mark the nose.

Flavour

Soft, full of ripe fruit and jam the attack on the palate and again the powerful alcohol all warms and envelops, soft tannins and savoury freshness.

Soil composition Clayey - calcareous. Typical Cilento flisch, characterised by large banks of marl from the surface to a depth of 10 m, this makes up a large part of the skeleton together with sandstone boulders that provide much of the sand. The clay present in large quantities ensures water supply even in dry years.
Cultivation system Single-sided Guyot.
Harvest By hand, a couple of weeks before the main harvest, 20 % of the grapes are gathered in special boxes and placed to dry in the shade in a cool, ventilated old house. These grapes are added in whole bunches, gently crushed, to the large fermenting mass when the stems are lignified.
Vinification Fermented by spontaneous yeasts in open vats after manual selection and destemming of the grapes.
Ageing It matures for 3 years in 3000 litre wooden casks and for another year in the bottle.
