Areas of cultivation	It is particularly widespread in the province of Bolzano. It is also popular in Germany, but also in Alsace, Austria and Eastern Europe.
History	The Green Sylvaner vine, as reported in the National Register of Vine Varieties, or more simply "Sylvaner" is considered by some native to the Middle Rhine valley, while others consider it coming from Styria (Austria).
Ampelographic features	Leaf: rather small, roundish, whole or with three lobes; Pectoral breast at V-U; Upper, shallow side breasts, open; Corner at the top of the rectangular lobe; Just a hinted lobby, a bit bent to eaves, a little wavy flap; Upper page light green, opaque, bollosa; Bottom green, very clear, with brilliant ribs, green with reddish base, little flashy. Quite tiny teeth, dull, with convex margins, fairly regular. Characteristics of the wine obtained from this grape variety	The wine obtained from the green sylvaner grape is of straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The palate is fresh, velvety and characteristic.
