Soil composition |
In Greve, at an altitude of 350 meters, the soil is composed of disintegrated turbidite sandstone and marly schist with claylike features. Slate and sandstone are most prevalent in the hilltop area at 550 meters, where the soil is loose and conducive to drainage, as in the cases of the Radda and Panzano vineyards. |
Harvest |
By hand, between the 19th of September and the 23rd of October with crates. |
Ageing |
12 months in 225-litre barriques and 500-litre tonneaux of fine- and medium-fine-grained French wood, of which 10% are new. |
