Poderi Colla Pietro Colla Extra Brut Blanc de Noir 2014

The inspiration for this sparkling wine came from grandfather Pietro (father of Beppe and Tino and grandfather of Federica and Pietro) who, with the seriousness, serenity and balance that distinguished him, was able to pass on to his children the passion for wine. Born in 1894, he worked all his life in the field of champagne champénoise methodology at important companies - today disappeared - alongside luminaries of the oenology of the time and together with the person who had been sent to France to learn the difficult art of fermentation in bottle. Expert in the art of spumante, once retired he continued, for pleasure, to produce until the '70s limited quantities of Pinot Spumante Brut, Rosè of Nebbiolo Spumante Secco and Asti Spumante Champenois. On the basis of this wealth of family experiences and being able to dispose directly of the raw material, it was easy to step from the desire to the realization of this project to dedicate not just any wine, but a sparkling wine to the memory of grandfather Pietro.
