Pira Chiara Boschis Barolo Via Nuova 2019
Via Nuova was the name of a small vineyard located near the town of Barolo. Its name derives from the proximity of the road (new, in the last century) that connected Barolo to Novello. Today only one path remains of that road in the middle of the vineyards, which can be walked on foot. For years it has been vinified in purity until the Municipality of Barolo, reorganizing the Additional Geographical Mentions (which came into force in 2010) decided to incorporate it into a larger sub-area, marked by the name Terlo. With the suppression of this tiny Cru, in homage to the tradition of the Assembly, we began to vinify the Barolo Via Nuova with the grapes of Terlo and Liste, of the Municipality of Barolo.

Colour

Between ruby and intense garnet.

Bouquet

Deep and meditative, it has a woody incipit with dry leaves, bark and shaken earth. It continues with hues reminiscent of violet, liquorice stick on languid spicy blooms.

Flavour

On the palate it combines elegance and freshness. Chased tannic texture and long saline persistence.

Pairing

Meat: game of fur and feather, braised. Medium-long seasoned cheeses and other red meat dishes.
