Philipponnat Champagne Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut 2018

Cuvée Royale Réserve Brut comes from grapes of Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and in Mareuil-sur-Ay. Ageing 5-7 years on yeasts before disgorgement with a minimum dosage of about 4 g/l. Its elegant complexity, with citrus notes and white flowers, is supported by a good freshness, with long and pleasing mineral traces. Champagne of great typicity and power.

Bouquet

Hints of spice (black pepper), acacia flowers and berries, with a nice hint of honey.

Flavour

It is large and powerful in the mouth: it develops with energy and freshness on fruity and spicy notes. Very long and extremely elegant finish.

Pairing

It goes well with white meats, such as a crusted pork fillet with flavoured potato quenelles. Excellent with foie gras, lamb and game. It can also be served as an apéritif.
