This whole chain of elements has allowed Patagonia to produce grapes from the very European mold - especially our mountain qualities - and being a very low population density region it is also one of those from the vineyards healthier. Climate and soil	The climate is less rigid than was supposed by the first travelers. The eastern side is warmer than the western one, particularly in summer, while a cold sea current flows in front of the west coast. The average annual temperature is 11 ° C and the extreme values are 25.5 ° C the maximum and -1.5 ° C the minimum, while in Bahía Blanca, near the Atlantic coast and just outside the northern borders of Patagonia, the temperature annual average is 15 ° C and the variation is much greater. Guanaco hunting was the most important activity, followed by the rhea (ñandu).
