History The former owner of this vineyard used to be a gunner in the civil war. For this reason, this wine is named "Artillero", Spanish for gunner.
Origin Alavesa.
Climate Altitude: 600 m. a.s.l.
Soil composition Clay and limestone.
Yield per hectare 3,000 kg/hectare.
Vinification The fermentation of the hand-picked grapes is carried out in a concrete egg, stainless steel tank, amphora and open barrel using indigenous yeast.
Ageing The malolactic fermentation takes place in concrete egg and French oak barrels of 400 and 500 litres. After racking, the wine remains for another 12 months in oak for ageing.
