Lo Sparviere Franciacorta Extra Brut 2009
Franciacorta Extra Brut is produced exclusively from Chardonnay grown in the Bobani and Brolo vineyards. Both are south-facing, with the first located in Provaglio d’Iseo and the second in Monticelli Brusati. A perfect marriage of these two terroirs yields an elegant, beautifully-balanced wine that is fashioned to last many years. Annual production around 10,000 bottles, with a sur lie maturation for a minimum of 60 months.

Perlage

Long-lingering, of fine, pin-point bubbles.

Colour

Golden yellow.

Bouquet

The crusty initial impression gradually yields to subtle notes of hazelnut and candied fruit, concluding with a pleasantly spicy finish.

Flavour

Superb balance between full flavours, a crisp note of citron, and a vein of minerality.

Pairing

Ideal as an aperitif wine, but a lovely partner to fish, lighter meats, and medium aged cheeses.
