La Montina Franciacorta Quor Brut Nature Riserva 2016

The name is emblematic, evocative but at the same time immediate: Quor is heart. It is written like that because it comes from a spelling mistake made by grandfather Fiore, father of the three brothers Vittorio, Gian Carlo and Alberto Bozza, founders of La Montina.

"When one decides to tidy up one's drawers, one almost always finds something long forgotten,' says Michele Bozza, the company's Marketing & Export Manager. 'That's what happened when we emptied the deep drawers of grandfather Fiore's old desk. We found photographs, documents, but above all we found letters that showed us a different side of Grandpa. The more intimate and sensitive side of a man, whom we always remember as a hard worker and never as a man in love. The letters are in fact all addressed to Grandma Gina, his life partner and mother of his 7 children. The messages are simple, written in an Italian deeply influenced by the Brescian dialect, which is why Quor'.
