This wine is excellent with meaty main courses with sauces, roasted meat, feathered and furred game, aged cheeses, typical dishes from Puglia, barbecued lamb.

Colour

Vibrant ruby red with garnet red tinges.

Bouquet

Intense, complex, with red fruity notes such as plum, Marasca cherry, blackberry, vanilla with hints of leather, tobacco and a few pleasant balsamic notes.

Flavour

Warm, mouth filling, long lingering with good tannins that lets us appreciate the unique character of the two vine varieties.

History	The origin of the name ‘Negroamaro’ is uncertain; it is assumed to come from the dialect terms ‘niuru’ and ‘maru’ which is black and bitter, like the grape and wine made with it.
