A fragrant compote of plums, raspberries and sour cherries with a hint of strawberry jam. A very fragrant style of Marlborough pinot with cinnamon and clove spice a dense structure, generous palate weight and a long, lively finish.

Colour

Deep red.

Bouquet

Hints of berries, ripe cherries, blackberries, plum jam. Further on, one can perceive the aromas of cloves, star anise and tea.

Flavour

Ripe fruit flavour, fine tannins with a spicy finish.

Harvest The grapes were harvested by hand and cooled overnight before being sorted by hand.
Vinification The grapes are de-stemmed and destemmed under the open sky, then fermentation occurs on indigenous yeasts.
Ageing After fermentation, the wine is racked into barriques (40% new), and then remains in the barrels for a further 18 months.
