Gitton Père et Fils Sancerre Les Herses 2015

Not even half a hectare, cultivated with pinot noir in the cru of "Les Herses": from here everything starts, and from here the Domaine Gitton Père et Fils gets its Sancerre Rouge, to make us discover that the denomination of Sancerre is not made of only Sauvignon. A red left to mature in oak barriques, for an aging that gives the sip precious tertiary, spicy and evolved tones.

Intense and complex.

Bouquet

On the nose, with hints of black cherries in the spirit that act as a trailblazer, to then be followed by sweet spices, undergrowth, leather and violets.

Flavour

The palate is soft and velvety, fine in the tannic texture, of long persistence and characterized by an aftertaste that recalls the ripe red plum.

Pairing

Perfect to accompany white meat or noble poultry, it is excellent in combination with roast duck with spices.
