On the picturesque Vajasindi Estate, on the slopes of Etna, Làvico's Nerello Mascalese is produced. This well-balanced wine, which represents the refined synthesis of the vine's strong and somewhat wild character and the true expression of the Vulcan, displays the expressive richness and olfactory complexity of wines destined for longevity and great freshness.

Ruby red with light garnet reflections.

Bouquet

Fragrant, intense, spicy and complex, rich in sensations with fruity and vanilla touches blended well together.

Flavour

Good structure, elegance and personality, with a lively, persistent character and robust tannic structure.

Pairing

Particularly suitable with fragrant red meat dishes and aged cheeses. Served chilled, at 15°C, it goes well with savoury fish dishes.

Harvest By hand, at full ripening.
Vinification Destemming of the grapes, traditional maceration for 7-8 days at 26-28°C followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing For about 12 months in selected oak barriques. After bottling, it ages for at least 2 months in cool cellars for a perfect fusion of organoleptic characteristics.
Allergens Contains sulphites
Pairing Particularly suitable with fragrant red meat dishes and aged cheeses. Served chilled, at 15°C, it goes well with savoury fish dishes.
