The most important ingredient in Vernaccia is time. It ages for over 20 years in oak and chestnut kegs which, together with the flor yeast, bring out the indomitable spirit and the inimitable flavour of this wine.

Colour

Gold yellow with amber reflections.

Bouquet

Ample and persistent, with hints of toasted hazelnuts and almond blossom.

Flavour

Dry, warm and full-bodied. Excellent structure, lingering finish tinged with the characteristic almond flavour.

Pairing

Excellent to round off a meal and for quiet meditation, the perfect accompaniment to desserts with marzipan and plain pastries and biscuits.

Yield per hectare	3,000 - 4,000 kg/hectare.
Harvest	In mid-October.
Vinification	Follows the traditional white winemaking process with soft pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature.
Ageing	In oak and chestnut casks for at least 15 years, kept drained to allow the development of the characteristic 'flor' yeast veil that generates the unmistakable scents of Vernaccia di Oristano wine.
Allergens	Contains sulphites
Pairing	Excellent to round off a meal and for quiet meditation, the perfect accompaniment to desserts with marzipan and plain pastries and biscuits.
