Almost 120 years of business for the Contini winery and one great protagonist: Vernaccia di Oristano, the first appellation of origin in Sardinia and the first wine to win the prestigious Three Glasses by Gambero Rosso in Central and Southern Italy.

Colour

Gold yellow with amber reflections.

Bouquet

Intense, ample and ethereal, with the characteristic note of almond blossom.

Flavour

Dry and full-bodied on a pleasantly acidulous and bitterish background, warm, harmonious. Velvety and caressing vein and texture.

Pairing

As an aperitif wine. Best with bottarga-based dishes. As a dessert-style wine to pair with almond-based sweets.

Climate	Typically Mediterranean with mild Winters, limited rainfall and very hot and windy Summers. Altitude: a few metres above sea level.
Soil composition	Alluvial, sandy, slightly clayey.
Cultivation system	Head-training and espalier with Guyot and spurred cordon.
Yield per hectare	4,000-5,000 kg/hectare.
Harvest	In mid-October.
Vinification	Follows the traditional white winemaking process with soft pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature.
Ageing	In oak and chestnut casks for about 4 years, kept drained to allow the development of the characteristic 'flor' yeast veil that generates the remarkable Vernaccia di Oristano aromas.
Allergens	Contains sulphites
Pairing	As an aperitif wine. Best with bottarga-based dishes. As a dessert-style wine to pair with almond-based sweets.
