Ciavolich Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Antrum 2012
The first Antrum was produced in 2003 when we started renovating the cellar in Miglianico dating back to 1853. It is dedicated to the underground caves in our cellar which is one of the oldest cellars in Abruzzo. It tells the history and the character of the Ciavolich family. It is an elegant wine with a rustic soil. The grapes come from the historical vineyards in Loreto Aprutino dating back to the 60s.

Colour

Deep ruby red colour.

Bouquet

Intense nose of marasca, blackberries, wild berry jam, talcum, geraniums, star anise, laurel, juniper, coffee powder, delicate balsamic.

Flavour

In the mouth it is generous and dynamic, warm, fresh with adequate sapidity, smooth tannins; it closes fruity and fruity with a pleasant and lasting persistence.
