Full Bodied and Very Aged Red Wines
Bosco del Merlo Vineargenti Rosso Riserva 2019
This Reserve wine is made from a blend of Merlot, a Bordeaux variety, and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, an indigenous variety. Both are cultivated in Lison, an area with high suitability for red grapes. The vineyards have a dense planting pattern and very low yields. The result of multiple harvests, of selections in the same plot where very few bunches per plant are brought to the desired levels of ripeness. This is a wine that will have to find balance and final quality in long ageing.

Colour

Deep red.

Bouquet

The aroma is broad, of berries, with notes of thyme, sweet spices and dried flowers.

Flavour

The flavour is enveloping and full-bodied. The tannins are soft and elegant, and beautiful ripe fruit persists in the mouth.
