Blain-Gagnard Criots Batard Montrachet Grand Cru 2022
It is easy to assume that Criots has the same richness as Bâtard; in fact, Criots is the most delicate of the five Grand Crus. However, the wine is more than fragrant and delicate, with an intense minerality and fine structure, obtained from vines planted between 1929 and 1979.

Colour

Deep straw yellow.

Bouquet

It reveals complex aromas of white fruits combined with notes of vanilla and butter.

Flavour

A delicate, smooth, mineral wine with a pleasant balsamic, slightly mentholated finish. An excellent wine with promising ageing potential.

Pairing

Thanks to its rich texture and roasted flavours, it pairs well with white fish and shellfish. Moreover, its high natural acidity can counterbalance cream-based sauces. It pairs well with grilled fish, starches, butter and roasted nuts.
