Young and Fresh White Wines
Baglio di Pianetto Ficiligno 2022
The first white wine produced in Pianetto, 'Ficiligno', fully expresses the quintessence of the land on which it is grown. A wine with an intense and persistent bouquet that takes its name from a local stone, a characteristic element in the regional landscape. Fascinated by the particular conformation of the land conferred by these stones, Count Paolo Marzotto sensed the strong mineral potential of the soil, capable of imparting freshness to the white wine.

Colour

Straw yellow with golden reflections.

Bouquet

The nose perceives broom, pineapple, passion fruit, yellow peach, elegant herbaceous notes and white pepper.

Flavour

It is agile and very drinkable on the palate, a mix of alcoholic roundness and acid vein, with a good finish with a return of the fruit amplified by a clear tasty trace.

Pairing

It is ideal as an apéritif, with risottos, light first courses, vegetables, and soft cheeses. Its soft and delicate body goes perfectly with shellfish and all seafood. Finally, it is also excellent with pizza.

Cultivation system Espalier.
No. plants per hectare 4,830
Yield per hectare 9,000 kg/hectare.
Harvest By hand, between August and September, in three different times, to create three bases: acidic, technical ripeness and over-ripening, and bring out the exotic and voluptuous notes of the Viognier.
Vinification The grapes, harvested by hand in crates, are immediately transported to the winery and, after further sorting, are destemmed and cold-crushed to allow maceration in the press. Fermentation of the individual batches takes place separately and is deferred in time for the different harvest periods. Each one lasts more or less 20 days in stainless steel tanks, where maturation is extended for 4 months at a controlled temperature, thus favouring natural decantation of the fermentation waste.
Ageing 6 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks.
Allergens Contains sulphites
