Aubry Champagne Le Nombre d'Or Brut 2005
The Nombre d'Or comes from a blend of three classic vines: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir to a lesser extent and most of the ancient and historic vineyards of the area: Petit Meslier, Arbanne, Fromenteau, and Enfumé, which Aubry has recovered and cultivated in the towns of Villedommange, Pargny and Jouy-lès-Reims in the Montagne de Reims. Ageing for 4-5 years on the lees before disgorgement Minimum dosage of 5 g/l. An amazing Champagne!

Colour

Deep, bright gold yellow.

Bouquet

Complex notes of ripe fruit (plum), violet flowers and pan brioche, with a citrine and spicy hint.

Flavour

A rich and enveloping opening followed by persistent fruity and floral notes. Great finesse and harmony.

This special cuvée goes wonderfully with white meats, such as pork fillets with currant sauce or grilled or baked fish. Excellent with poultry and vegetables.
