Fine, very fruity aroma of cherry and blackcurrant with elegant spicy notes and a delicate hint of wood given by barrique ageing and roasting.

Flavour

On the palate, the impact is intense and decisive, the fruitiness marked, compact and balanced. Lively tannins and fresh, pleasant acidity characterise the long persistence.

History	The best plots belonging to the Löwengang Estate in Margreid, at various altitudes from 230 - 330 metres above sea level.

Yield per hectare	5,200 kg/hectare.
Harvest	From the 18th to the 28th of September.
Vinification	Soft pressing of the grapes, spontaneous fermentation for about 15 days and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel.
Ageing	Ageing of the wine in small 225-litre wooden barrels of French Allier and Nevers oak, depending on the vintage. 1/3 of them are new.
