Moscato d'Asti is a sweet DOCG wine that is characterised by its freshness and light sparkle. Moscato d'Asti wine is made from white Muscat, an aromatic grape variety that has been found throughout the Mediterranean basin since antiquity. The name 'muscum' from which it derives is a clear reference to its aroma, which has made this wine one of the cornerstones in the development of Piedmontese wine production based on low-alcohol, aromatic white wines. Moscato d'Asti DOCG is bright straw yellow in colour, while the nose releases its characteristic musky perfume to which floral and fruity notes are added; on the palate, however, it is sweet and delicate.
