The Craigellachie distillery is owned by John Dewar & Sons and is a perfect blend of modernity and tradition. As evidence of this way of working, the choice to preserve the traditional worm tubs: the vapours coming out of the stills are conveyed inside a coil immersed in cold water, so that, passing through it, they are cooled. This procedure allows the distillate to preserve a sulphurous note deriving from the raw materials used and the distillation practice.
