Rest & Be Thankful Whisky Octomore 6 YO 2009
A Rest & Be Thankful independent bottling of 7 year old Octomore heavily peated single malt from the Bruichladdich distillery, finished in a cask that previously held Pauillac wine from the Bordeaux region. The contrast between the massive peat smoke and sweet wine cask notes is very intriguing indeed. This was presented as part of La Maison du Whisky's 60th Anniversary celebrations, and only 299 bottles were produced.
