Waldgries Ansitz

Waldgries Ansitz

In the land of Saint Magdalena's election, facing south on the city of Bolzano and in front of the Rosengarten in the Dolomites, is located the Ansitz Waldgries Estate, mentioned in historical texts as early as 1242. In a prestigious but sober building, originally the ancient property of a convent, stands the residence and cellar surrounded by sunny slopes.

The first owner of the Ansitz Waldgries Estate was Roblinus de' Waldgries, to whom Christian Plattner dedicated the name of Waldgries' most exclusive wine. In 1930 Heinrich Plattner, Christian Plattner's grandfather, bought the Ansitz Waldgries estate. The Plattner family has embraced this legacy with enthusiasm, creating the right symbiosis between tradition and innovation.

"I dedicate myself to those who, with love, wisdom and commitment, have guided me on the path of enduring discovery". (Christian Plattner)
