Property coveted by the most important families of Siena, Poggio Bonelli has had several owners over the centuries: from the ancient family owned Spennali throughout the Middle Ages, in the second half of the sixteenth century Poggio Bonelli went instead into the hands of the illustrious family Piccolomini, later, probably by the dynasty became the property of the family Landucci stable throughout the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
Families Crosses and Landucci, combined, brought the estate of Poggio Bonelli even into the twentieth century, and then deliver it in the capable hands of the estate of the MPS Group.
Located in the heart of Chianti Classico, Tuscany, the estate covers about 810 hectares. The wine tradition dating from the sixteenth century, is alive and vigorous, thanks to the 83 hectares of vineyard which created the prestigious wines of Poggio Bonelli range.
Inside there is also a charming cottage includes ten apartments.
The estate also includes 8,000 olive trees that produces excellent extra virgin olive oils.
