The Pio Cesare was founded in 1881 by our Princess Victoria, Pio Cesare (Caesar Pius name and surname). We own over 50 hectares of vineyards in positions of particular value, both in the Barolo region (in the vineyards of Serralunga d'Alba Cascina "Ornate" and the "Colombaro" Grinzane Cavour in the vineyards of Cascina Gusto , the vineyard in La Morra "Roncaglia" and the vineyard Barolo, Novello "Ravera"), both in the area of Barbaresco (Treiso to the vineyards of Cascina "Il Bricco" and the "San Stefanetto"), as well as to Sinio, Diano d'Alba and Trezzo Tinella. Our Barbera d'Alba 2019 has been included with number 38 in the very prestigious Top 100 Wines of 2021 List by the American magazine Wine Spectator, which awarded it 92 points.
