In 2002 we started to recover this wonderful place, we planted the vineyards, restored the ancient mills of the '700 and restored life and energy to this forgotten place.
The vineyards, 2.7 hectares, in the hills from 90 to 120 meters s.l.m., follow the natural trend of the slope of the land, riding on a hill, and are oriented north-south, optimizing the lighting of the sun. The red vines, classic of the Bolgheri DOC, are Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in large part, Petit Verdot, Syrah, but also Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo and Pugnitello. The white vines are Vermentino, Manzoni Bianco and Viognier.
The vines, trained with spurred cordon, guyot and sapling, are grown in a natural way, with the organic certification of Icea, and biodynamic of Demeter, without chemical fertilizers, without the use of systemic products, favoring the fertilization of the land with the practice of green manure and with symbiosis with mycorrhiza.
The vines are grown without organic fertilizers, leaving them to find the resources to grow autonomously, producing grapes that are authentic expression of the territory. The fermentation takes place only with the indigenous yeasts of the vineyard. The wine is aged in cement and terracotta containers and in oak barrels of 10 and 23 hectoliters.
