The name of the place called "Pallières" has its origins in the word "palier" which refers to the different levels existing between the rows of vines planted on the site.
But the term "Pallières" referred to also refers to another thing: it is the fruit of this particular soil and the relative results obtained since 1999. Since 2007 the production has divided the old cuvée into two: Les Racines (the oldest vineyards) and Les Terrasses du Diable (the highest vineyards).
