The Hennessy Distillery was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy - an Irish officer at the service of Louis XV's Army - who before each other could understand what could be the extraordinary commercial potential of Cognac's aquatics.

The Hennessy House, which, besides being the largest Cognac producer in the world, is also the company that first made the distillate famous in France and beyond. With a production that stands at an average of 50 million bottles a year, distillery now covers 40% of Cognac's international demand, offering a range of qualitatively superior and high quality distillates, which are distributed over the markets of over 130 countries throughout the world. world. First of the distilleries to have created the VSOP mark, corresponding to the Cognac that have been at least four years old in barrels, the maison is now part of the LVMH group, following the merger with Moët et Chandon in 1987.

Starting from what is the main viticulture variety from which the Cognac is obtained, the ugni blanc, corresponding to the Italian trebbiano, the grapes are vinified, trying to keep intact all the scents and all the varietal aromas. Distillation is then carried out in copper buds, while aging finally completes the distillate itself, which can be left to rest for over a hundred years.

In the historic Hennessy wine cellars, nestled in a soft light and enjoying the best conditions for temperature and humidity, one meets what can be considered one of the largest eau-de-vie reserves around the world.
