The Schönleber family has a tradition of 250 years in viticulture, even if only at the end of the sixties began the qualitative change of the company. To date, the vineyard area is 19.2 hectares, where three-quarters of which are planted with riesling while a small part is destined to Pinot Blanc and Pinot Grigio with extremely impressive results. This company was led by Werner and Frank Schönleber, helped their wives and Hanne Anjia, them have worked to develop a system of "single vineyard" so that they can enhance maximum "terroir", especially thanks to the rocky ground in which the vines are planted. Respecting the rules of procedure VDP (association of the best German winemakers) since 1994 the vineyards planted with Riesling are classified by name and some of these are "Erste Lagen", Grand Cru, also following a dated way back in 1901. Prussian mapping is Schönleber now considered one of the best domestic performers of Nahe thanks to fine wines, elegant and deep.
