The Giuseppe Castelli distillery was established in 1963 when Giuseppe Castelli, the founder, bought the ancient "Eugenio Levi" distillery. The renowned family "Levi di Campodolcino" had been involved in distillation since 1700. Of the nine sons of Angelo Levi, six were distillers, and Eugenio was in Cortemilia (Cuneo). Finally, Eugenio's distillery was put back into operation, renewing the existing equipment with a completely new plant, giving birth to the "Distelleria Castelli". Today, Sergio Castelli and his wife continue the family tradition in his father's footsteps with constancy, seriousness and commitment.
This distillery is a proudly family-run business. The whole family follows every production phase with dedication striving for quality and offering the best Grappa to loyal customers. The production process follows the best traditions of Piedmont with the best local pomace. Even today, the method remains artisanal, taking care of every aspect of the production "Made in Italy". As a result, the company constantly selects suppliers to obtain fresh, fragrant and full of wine aromas pomace.
Since 2017 the Grappa "Nebbiolina" has achieved the prestigious "Five Bunches" Bibenda award every year, reserved for the best Grappas in Italy.
The company's products were successful in Italy and worldwide, including Germany, the United States, Russia, and Kenya.
