Atlàntico is one of the excellences of Rum produced in the Dominican Republic, a land of choice for the cultivation of sugar cane of the highest quality, essential raw material for making large rums.
From the squeezing of the sugar cane you get a very sweet juice, which is fermented and distilled to create light and delicate rums. For the most intense, broader rums, with greater body and complexity, we proceed to the fermentation and distillation of the molasses.
For the aging of the most prestigious Rum, Atlàntico uses the solera method, which consists in placing several rows of small barrels on top of each other, so that each cask is connected to the one below. The rum to be bottled is always taken from the bottom barrel, which contains the mixture with a higher percentage of rum aged for a long time, so as to always guarantee a quality of excellence.
