Description

Since its inception, Cà Maiol has been committed to communicating the excellent evolutionary potential of Lugana, which to date is still little known. The Lugana Riserva L.A.B. conveys, in the synthesis of three simple letters, the philosophy of long ageing in the bottle (Long Ageing in Bottle), in a version with more than 15 months in glass proposed three years after the harvest.

Bouquet of ripe yellow-fleshed fruit and candied citrus fruits, hints of tropical fruit, hints of spices (saffron, cinnamon, vanilla) and evident balsamic nuances of aromatic wood (cedar).

A dense and enveloping texture that does not lose its freshness and dynamism, supported by an evident savouriness and an aromatic range of ripe and dried fruit, oriental spices and woody and balsamic notes.

Pairings

Due to its concentration and aromatic richness, it favours dishes with a particularly intense flavour, such as fish from the lake or sea with a meaty texture, barbecued or with spicy sauces, or with risottos, especially 'yellow' ones (saffron, pumpkin), and filled pasta. It goes well with white meats and cow's milk cheeses of medium and long maturation, as well as with the spicy dishes of oriental or South American cuisines.

The Azienda Agricola Cà Maiol, today a balanced combination of history and modernity, was established at the end of the 1960s.

Starting with a single farmhouse, over the decades it has expanded both in terms of structures and vineyards, thus expanding a unique offer for the denomination. We are in the Lugana area, a harmony of flavours and atmospheres that extends south of Lake Garda over a unique territory.

The calcareous soil, the result of a millennial process, and the typical lake climate contribute to making this an ideal place for growing vines. It is here that delicate white wines with an unmistakable freshness are born, wines that are genuine expressions of the territory in which they are born.
