Auguste Clape Saint Peray 2016
Auguste Clape is the most famous area of Cornas. This is a family estate now run by Pierre Clape, Auguste's son (since 1988), who has continued on the same path and in the same very traditional style. The vineyard covers 7 hectares and the vines are about fifty years old. Vinification is done in concrete vats and aging in old casks. The wines of Cornas come out straight, sober and racy, great wines of guard.
Auguste Clape's white Saint-Péray is vinified in cement vats and aged in stainless steel tanks for 8 months. The result is a wine with aromas of citrus and buttered notes and a very elegant palate.
