"Every day something varies, it changes, sometimes imperceptibly, with almost static slowness, others seem to witness the explosion of a big bang. The measure of time and time returns, observing the rows of vines, to its natural essence. There are rules to be respected, unforeseen to be faced, but above all an essential care. It is not enough to plant a vine to reap the fruits, you need a hand that respects the genesis, that knows how to refine and protect the growth.
A good glass of wine is made above all by relying on the unique qualities and characteristics of the grapes and the surrounding agricultural environment. Then it is the work in the cellar that, through vinification and ageing, allows the nectar to be transformed into a high quality product.
I learned to taste the wine, observing my grandfather Franco, scrutinizing his gestures next to a row, his passion for the beautiful and the good of the land. It was Casola Valsenio, the place of origin of the Tozzi family, that taught me the path of wine, to allow me to discover the roots and history of a country, of a community, of men and women who preserve in their personal and collective memory, the ancestral sense of a state of mind, and of a tradition that has always made them proud of their origin.
The "Tozzi" brand was born from the spontaneity of a path that has ancient roots in the farmyard, in the words and stories of my ancestors. A young, glocal project, virtuous in its avant-garde ambition, but which tenaciously keeps its feet firmly on tradition.
It was "the time of wine", the time of the twentieth century that saw my family become passionate about the virtues of Bacchus' nectar. It is still the "time of wine" of this new millennium that sees me in the front row, with a team of winemakers, agronomists and oenologists, to honour the passion, to build the steps of the future, guaranteeing fine bottles, memory of the past and an imaginative idea of tomorrow".
