It is called Tempa di Zoè to evoke ancient and distant lands. But also to clarify immediately, to avoid this, what are the intentions around a project that will affect the hills of the "Tempe" that characterize the Cilento from north to south and stretch to the sea. Zoè is the Greek word that indicates the essence of life, whether it be animal, vegetable or mineral. And today it is the essence and the philosophy that has put into place a four-year winemakers of excellence: Feudi di San Gregorio, Francesco Domini, Vincenzo D'Orta and Bruno De Conciliis.
The vineyards are in the municipality of Torchiara: five hectares of Aglianico and Fiano.
"The common goal is to bring new attention to Cilento, an area of high vocation in Enoch, and to continue the path already begun by D'Orta - De Conciliis whose Feudi di San Gregorio is a single distributor for just over a year "Explains to the daily newspaper Repubblica Francesco Domini, originally from Polla and general manager of the Cantina di Sorbo Serpico. For now, the wines in production are three, but on the construction site there is the will to plant new vineyards in other areas of the Cilento to bring this area to the interest it deserves.
In the two hectares of vines in Aglianico, in Acqua di Costanza, since 1997, Zero has been produced, now made by Feudi: a "Supercampan" from hand-picked grapes, slightly dried, followed by spontaneous yeast fermentation and wood refinement. Four thousand bottles in all. Since 2015, the first wine produced entirely in the Sorbo Serpico cellar has been produced: it is named Eighteen and is a Cilentoan Aglianico whose name celebrates the age of the Zero Supercup. Twelve months in French oak barriques, the nose is spicy, the palate is soft, with tannins present but delicate. With the 2016 harvest, a white wine from Fiano grapes, "Stella Marina", was put on sale in September 2017: it is the great novelty of the Tempa di Zoè project, about six thousand bottles to bring in the story glass and perfumes of Cilento.
