Sandrone Barolo Aleste 2014
Its aromatic complexity is expressed at every turn of the glass giving off hints of oriental spices, oak, black fruits and, as typical for the cooler vintages, are the floral tones of rose petals and hibiscus to capture the smell. Cried leaves of cigar, cedar, black licorice and ground white pepper are also felt.

Saveur

On the palate the sense of volume is palpable, dominated by dark cherries and black raspberries. This is a wine that tickles the senses. In fact, there is a vibrating trill that gives it personality, the freshness of acidity teases the opulent tannins.

Vendanges Overall it was a season characterized by a double trend: after a first cooler and rainy phase we had a second warmer and more dry period that allowed strong recoveries to obtain very satisfying results. Despite the sprouting took place in a period characterized by low temperatures and frequent precipitations that made serious a serious loss of quality, in June, with the approach of flowering, the conditions linked to atmospheric events gradually improved favoring a good setting. The real breakthrough took place in July with a stable period of time. Hot and bright days until October were favorable to phenolic synthesis. This allowed us to recover much of the disadvantage recorded in the spring. The fresh nights of the last ripening period have also helped to develop at best the characteristics that distinguish Nebbiolo and thus obtain excellent quality grapes. In conclusion we can say that the management in the field has been demanding, but the right choices according to the climate and the pedological conditions performed during the optimal period for the operations in the vineyard, have certainly made the difference. Where thinning and peeling were carried out at the right time and with the right methodology, grapes were obtained capable of giving rise to well structured and long-lived wines that make the vintage excellent.
