The Raboso Veronese vine is considered native of Veneto, particularly in the province of Treviso and seems to have nothing in common with the well-known Raboso Piave. The name "Veronese", too, does not originate from the province, as the spread of this vine does not come from the province of Verona, nor does it represent an area of choice. Some believe that "Veronese" was the name of the first one who introduced this vine to the area. Raboso would derive from the similarity of the cluster, which is, however, a little sparrow, rather than from an affinity with the same vine. |
