"The alluvial soils in the village of Gries are ideal for the indigenous red Lagrein wine, which is mentioned in a historical document dated 1379. This Lagrein Gries is impressive for its fruity berry aromas as well as for its noble spicy notes and juicy, balanced body". (Rudi Kofler, Company's Oenologist)

Colour

Deep ruby-garnet red with fine purple reflections.

Bouquet

Earthy and minerally notes with fruit aromas, in particular, morello cherry and plum jam.

Flavour

Fruity and peat notes on the palate. An aromatic and soft wine simultaneously, with a pleasant contrast, which gives this Lagrein Riserva an articulate and complex structure.

Roast chamois with root vegetables or braised veal cheek with root vegetables.
