The Fosso Sanguinaio has its source on the heights of Poggio Ferro, in the Maremma hinterland, and runs through the heart of Tenuta Aquilaia before flowing into the Albegna river. We dedicate our first Supertuscan to this historic stream, a wine that best expresses the unique essence of this territory thanks to its long ageing.

Bouquet

Fruity aromas of cherry and myrtle combine with hints of pepper and helichrysum.

Flavour

The palate is firm and enveloping, with silky tannins and a pleasant spicy aftertaste.

Stewed game, Florentine steak, cheeses and cured meats from the Maremma tradition.

Ageing	Maturation in French oak barriques for 6 months and subsequent passage into 30 HL Slavonian oak casks for 12 months.
