Features Leaf: large, orbicular.Bunch: Medium compact, large.Acino. Medium size, irregular shape, with thick skin and blue-black color.
Features wine The wine from this grape is characterized by high alcohol, low acidity and very intense color.
Growing areas The vegetative cycle is fairly short, making the vine suitable for cultivation even in the relatively cool areas of northern Spain, such as Rioja where in the Garnacha blend comes the most famous reds of Spain. In addition to Argentina, where it is known as Tempranilla, it has also found a terroir of choice in Tuscany, Lazio and observation in the province of Bolzano.
History At the origin of the name there may be its tendency to early maturation (temprano in spanish means soon).
