This area was originally managed by Cistercian Monks and therefore not subject to taxes. Its wine-making vocation arose in the 1960s, and today is considered by far the most important sparkling wine area in Italy.

Fine and persistent.

Colour

Medium straw yellow with greenish hints.

Bouquet

Ample and enveloping, together with floral notes and bakery fragrances.

Flavour

Dominated by fruit, it is energetic but soft, with generous mousse and very fine perlage.
