History The Montenisa Estate is located in the heart of the Franciacorta, in the Borgo di Calino, near Lake Iseo. In 1158 the village was given to a local noble family by the Bishop of Brescia, and towards the end of the 1800s, Lavinia Calini, who married Gaetano Maggi, inherited the property. After that, it remained part of the noble Brescian family´s estate. In 1999 the families of Marquis Antinori and Count Maggi agreed with the management of the lands surrounding the manor house, intending to produce a great Franciacorta from the noble vineyards.
Origin Franciacorta (Brescia).
Vinification At the end of the winter, following the first alcoholic fermentation, which takes place partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in barriques, the wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle and subsequent contact with the yeasts for at least 40 months. The remuage is still carried out by hand using the characteristic riddling racks, according to the most classic tradition, to reserve the most special attention to each individual bottle.
Allergens Contains sulphites
