Grillesino Maremma Toscana Ceccante 2019
"Ceccante" is the name of a hero of the Tuscan tradition handed down by storytellers. The story tells that he, fleeing from fools after having performed a heroic act on behalf of the weakest, decided to hide among the rows of grapes, which in that period offered their most mature fruits. Precisely their sweetness, convinced Ceccante to settle in those lands and to continue to accomplish their deeds in the Maremma. The Ceccante is the highest expression of our terroir and the clones have been selected in collaboration with the Institut d'oenologie de Bordeaux. Production is limited to the best vintages.

Colour

Intense ruby ​​red.

Bouquet

Pure nose of blackcurrant, black cherry and secondary notes of licorice, vanilla and coffee very well integrated with the notes of wood.

Flavour

Good acidity, harmonious and generous with the potential to further improve. Elegance and character in the same package with constant finish.

Vinification After a soft pressing takes place the macerazinoe in steel where the peels remain in contact with the juice for 15-20 days at a temperature of about 30 °C.
Ageing Immediately afterwards the wine is put into 225 liter barriques (from Alliers, Tronçais and American oak) where it completes the malolactic fermentation by the end of the harvest year. No filtration is done before the bottling. Aging in 16 barriques, 10 bottles.
