Banditella is a vineyard planted in 1998, where the Sangiovese clones were chosen through a 10-year process of clone selection with advice from the University of Florence. The Banditella vineyard provides one of the best expressions of Brunello di Montalcino wine.

Colour

Deep ruby red with purple reflections.

Bouquet

Defined fruity and ripe red fruit scents, with hints of spices and vanilla given by the oak.

Flavour

A powerful, well-structured wine with delicate, ripe tannins. It closes with great persistence and a long, enveloping aftertaste.

Harvest By hand, grapes are carefully sorted.
Vinification Medium-long maceration in low and wide vats at temperatures not exceeding 28°C to maintain a fresh and long-lived fruit. Two daily pump-overs, combined with two délestage on the 3rd and 5th day of fermentation, favour an effective but gentle extraction of colour and tannins from the skins.
Ageing After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in barriques and tonneaux (Allier oak) for one year.
